Workshops

Our workshops are usually customized, but have a few things in common:

  • A deep dive into a topic.
  • Small groups: usually 8-15 people.
    • Larger groups are usually comprised of several companies that have been assembled by an organization or association.
    • Smaller groups are usually all from the same company.
  • Usually lasts for 2-3 days.
  • Sometimes it’s once/week for 8-10 weeks. These are usually hybrids of in-person and virtual meetings.

Finding Your Customer

A 2 ½ day workshop with twelve business founders. Pre-work, exercises, public speaking on topics that include:

  • Who wants what you’re selling?

  • Who is paying you for it?

  • What’s a customer worth to you?

  • How many of them do you need?

  • How will you find them?

  • How long will that take?

  • Who wins if you win – and therefore will happily help you win?

Fundamentals of Sales & Sales Management

Usually 2 days. You’ll do some selling yourself, and then address some questions for your future, including:

  • Do you want a pioneer or an executive to lead your sales force?

  • Designing an effective commission plan.

  • How do you loosely supervise while still holding them accountable?

Start-Up Bootcamp

8-12 weeks. This workshop is particularly appropriate for Economic Development organizations. We’ll work together to select a carefully curated group of business owners, and then meet weekly. The curriculum includes:

  • Finding your customer.
  • Will your idea make enough money to meet your financial goals?
  • What if your idea just won’t work and you need to pivot?
  • How do you build an effective team to grow your business?
  • Do you need investors?
  • How do you pitch your business?

This can be customized to meet the needs of your clientele.
